How to choose the right sunglasses for your face shape?

Sunglasses are one of the most desired accessories. Not only from a fashionable point of view but the sunglasses play an important role in preserving the health of the eyes. The excessive sunlight can be damaging to the eye so wearing sunglasses extends further than just completing your fashion style.

Being a blind follower of the trends is not a good thing when it comes to choosing sunglasses. Although there are many different frames and models, an important thing to consider is the face shape. Choosing sunglasses that will fit your face shape will not only look great on you, but they will also provide the function they have much better.

Here is a quick guide to help you choose your new shades according to your face shape:

Round face

The round face does not have to be even more accented with round frames and shapes. In this case, it is best to go for the aviator shaped glasses or square, angular glasses.

Oval face

An oval face is the most suitable one for different kinds of sunglasses and you really cannot go wrong with the choice here. The only important thing to consider is to choose the frames that will not be wider than the face.

Square face

Persons with square face have more defined face lines. Adding squared glasses and frames will only define more the squared shape, so the trick is to soften it. Choose rounded corners and soft lines, all in the width of your face. Stay clear of hard angles.

Oblong face

The oblong shape is similar to the oval shape, however, it has more accented corners and lines. The face looks longer and narrow. The best type of sunglasses that fit this face is those with rounded corners and soft lines. In this case, the small frames and lenses are not beneficial, so look for bigger ones but keep in the width of your face.

Heart-shaped face

Persons with a heart-shaped face have a distinctively narrow chin that gives the face a different look. Here, the squared frames will fit greatly, complimenting the face by adding different angles for better visual appearance. Tear-dropped shape and oversized frames are not suggested and instead, look for those with sharper corners.

When buying your new sunglasses, always start with the shape of your face, and work from there. Look for a piece that adds beauty to your face and something that is not a trend, but already a style.
